These mugs were the starting point for my whole tableware range, and were inspired in part by my personal preference for vats of tea, and partly by the form of a medieval mug I saw in a museum in Stoke on Trent. They flare outwards lightly at the top so they sit pleasingly in the hand. An incised line marking the point of articulation and giving the simple design its own character.
Choosing a favourite mug is a deeply personal moment, as they connect so intimately with our hands and lips. The satisfaction of finding the right one is activated again every time you use yours. Imagine making a cup of your favourite hot drink and taking a moment to sit back and savour it.
